A220

Material feeding unit for highly viscous dispensing materials, which are fed directly from the original delivery containers.

For handling of:
non-abrasive highly viscous and/or thixotropic materials like sealants, adhesives and greases.
(for abrasive high viscous  materials, see A280)

For applying sealant and adhesive beads, as well as insulating materials (dam&fill application)

Advantages:
  • The patented vacuum barrel follower plate technology allows a clean and automated container change-over, without entering air-bubbles into the dispensing material
  • Fast return on investment by eliminating material waste and excluding production failure parts
  • Precise dispensing and application

Function:
First the Vacuum Barrel Follower Plate is lowered into the container (delivery pail) and it then pushes the dispensing material through the central opening into the double acting piston pump.
The air trapped between the plate and the surface of the dispensing material is removed through the plate by a vacuum pump. So air-bubbles in the dispensing material or the feeding process are avoided.

The pail is completely emptied, monitored by an accurate filling-level measurement system. In addition, a pail empty pre-warning is signaled via the operating panel or the programmable interfaces.

The single-use Vacuum Barrel Follower Plate can be disposed with the empty container.

The result: a very safe, fully automated, clean material feeding, without material waste and an excellent process quality.

Upgrades:
The A220 is available for 1 - and 2 component materials, as single or redundant system,  together with a gear pump dispenser or the Scheugenpflug piston metering head and controller .

The A220 makes up a perfect stand-alone dispensing unit for highly viscous or pasty materials.
The Dos A220 can also be easily integrated into existing production lines.
